Meet Daniel Baldwin – Chief Investigator

Daniel Baldwin is a highly respected veteran in the field of law enforcement and criminal justice, bringing over 25 years of exceptional investigative experience. A retired law enforcement professional, former adjunct professor of criminal justice, and former Investigative Consultant for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Danny has dedicated his life to pursuing truth and delivering justice.

His career began in 1992 with the Hillside Police Department, where he laid the foundation for what would become a storied path in public service. In 1994, he joined the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office in Newark, New Jersey, launching an investigative career marked by high-profile and complex cases. From violent crimes and gang activity to organized crime and fugitive apprehension, Danny was regularly called upon to lead investigations that demanded skill, discretion, and unwavering focus. He also worked closely with county prosecutors on the preparation and prosecution of major felony cases, earning a reputation as a trusted and meticulous investigator.

Danny’s leadership and professionalism have earned him national recognition. He is a recipient of the National Association of Police Organizations' TOP COP award and the President’s Award from the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Executives. Among his most notable contributions is his pivotal role in the investigation of Charles Cullen, a former critical care nurse and one of the most prolific serial killers in American history—a case that was chronicled in a New York Times best-selling book and adapted into the Netflix film, "The Good Nurse".

In addition to his public sector achievements, his expertise later extended to the collegiate arena, where he conducted criminal investigations and behavioral threat assessments for Duke University and Duke Hospitals.  He also previously served as Director of Police and Public Safety at Saint Augustine’s University. These roles further demonstrate his broad and impactful law enforcement experience.

In 2021, Danny founded this private investigations firm with a focused mission: to advocate for individuals who have been wrongfully accused, unjustly convicted, or had their civil rights violated. Drawing on his extensive investigative expertise, Danny remains unwavering in his pursuit of justice. Renowned for his integrity, determination, and steadfast commitment to helping others, he continues to be a powerful force for truth and accountability.
